With an autumnal shower, cicadas surrender their song. As the first hint of autumn dawns, a day of heartfelt reunion unfolds.On a September morn, at MacDuffie, students old and new congregate, their eyes alight with dreams, poised to embark on a novel voyage.
 

全新的環境，全新的征程，也許會感到陌生，但是這里有一群可愛的同路人。迎新啟航，今天過后，我們將成為通往夢想之路上的最佳拍檔。

A new environment, a new journey, may feel strange, but here are a group of lovely kindred spirits wherein we may find solace. As this inaugural chapter begins, from this day forth, we shall pledge to be best partners, traversing the path of dreams together.

From today on, we will return to the classroom, our youth radiant and resolute, setting sail towards the sunlit horizon.
 

高中生活是一個充滿激情和挑戰的階段，每位新生都懷揣著夢想和希望，迎接新的挑戰。在這里，你們會收獲知識，結交朋友，錘煉自己，成長為更好的自己。無論面對何種困難，都要勇往直前，堅持不懈，相信自己，相信團隊，相信未來。學校是你們展翅飛翔的舞臺，讓我們一同努力，書寫精彩人生的篇章!

The tapestry of high school is woven with fervor and trials. Every novice enters with dreams nestled in their hearts, poised for challenges anew. 王東煥校長帶領全體師生回顧了一年以來，學校在教育教學各個領域取得的豐碩成果，同時也對師生寄予了新期望：新的學年已拉開帷幕，希望我們所有的在校同學以你們的學長為榜樣，幾年之后，你們能夠取得比他們更優異的成績!對于普高部的同學，你們是美達菲第一屆學生，希望你們能一炮打響，三年后順利考入國內名校。

Under Principal Wang Donghuan's guidance, we reminisce the school's laudable strides in education over the bygone year. With the dawn of this scholastic era, he envisions each student, inspired by their forerunners, soaring to loftier peaks in the years that beckon. For the vanguards of the Pugao Department, as MacDuffie's inaugural torchbearers, may you illuminate our legacy, and in time, etch your names in the annals of esteemed institutions.

并對所有學生提出三點建議：

And three suggestions for all students:

養成良好的學習習慣，學術永遠是第一位的，不管是國內名校還是國外名校，大學招生始終會把你的考試成績作為錄取的第一要素。

Develop good study habits, academicalways take precedence, whether it is renowned institutions at home or prestigious schools abroad, university admissions invariably prioritize your examination scores as the foremost criterion for acceptance.

希望同學們多參加運動，目前學校運動設施齊全，希望每位同學至少參加一項體育運動，并堅持下去。

Engage in sports.. At present, The school boasts a comprehensive range of sports facilities. I encourage every student to immerse themselves in at least one athletic pursuit and maintain their commitment to it.

在活動方面，鼓勵每位同學至少參加一至兩個社團活動，通過活動發現自己的興趣，挖掘自身的潛能。總結一句話就是：學習、運動加活動。

Participation in extracurricular activities is pivotal. I urge every student to be involved in at least one or two club activities. Through such engagements, you can uncover your passions and unlock your innate potential. In essence: Balance your academics, athletic pursuits, and extracurricular activities.

最后王東煥校長衷心祝愿大家在新的學年里能夠以飽滿的熱情進行學習和工作，以積極的心態面對困難和挑戰，以優異的成績回報家庭和社會。

Finally, Principal Wang Donghuan wholeheartedly hopes that, in this upcoming academic year, each one of you will approach your studies and responsibilities with unwavering zeal. Confront challenges with an optimistic mindset and reward your families and society with outstanding achievements.
